Our facility has a designated fire and evacuation plan and they are posted in the facility. The Lily Pad Daycare also performs monthly drills to orient children to procedures for evacuation. During drills, 1 year olds are gently placed into a safety evacuation crib and taken outside to the designated safe assembly area. The Lily Pad is equipped with four exit doors for evacuation.  Fire extinguishers are available in all areas and staff is trained in their use.
